Important Rental Information:

• Boating Experience Required – To rent a boat, prior boating experience is recommended. We reserve the right to deny a rental for safety purposes if the renter is not properly prepared to captain a boat. Partial refund will be applied under such circumstances.

• Training Requirements for First-Time Renters:

  • If you have no prior boating experience, a 30 to 60-minute training session will be required at the start of your rental.

  • OR attend our hands-on one-hour training session which you can book on-line in advance of your rental.

  • Renters born 1/1/1982 or later are required to take the Ohio Boater Safety course online or have a NASBLA approved training certificate from another state.

    All rentals require a supplemental Insurance Policy.

    • Insurance Policy: Covers up to $1500 in damage and including liability. Cost varies by boat and rental duration, typically $17–$46. (Our autumn special: we pick up the cost of the insurance. No worries on your part.)
